Intercultural
Communication by Claire Kramsch.
- Preface
English is global language. Language is men made
language, and see that man’s views, ideas, rules draw in language. Language is
more important to learn culture and also we know that culture has gives so many
languages, and how cultural communication in develop our language. As we
studies about language or learn language has to cultural communication in you
express your culture, ideas, views, religious etc. After India independent that
in all political and social people has except to English has learn and as part
of education system. English has a status of associate language. After Hindi it
is the most commonly spoken language in India and probably the most read and
written language in India. English in India is used not only for communicating
with the outside world, but also for inter-state and intrastate communication
in English language has first. In 1947, in India the great ethnic and
linguistic diversity found within our nation, English acts as an indispensable ‘link’ language. English
symbolizes in Indians’ minds, better education, better culture and higher
intellect.(Nair & Mishra, 2009) Here we see that
language made relations, cultures and our mindset. But we see that how language
is learn and develop our culture and learn that to other culture. In most of
that language has learn that in internal
communication by Claire Kramsch has very important and how language at gives
culture as different way. We know that intercultural communication has very
important and how language gives their own view point in society and authorizes
of people and intercultural communication made of power mean language. So now
we define that intercultural communications explains that.
- What is intercultural communication?
Intercultural communications means takes place when
individuals influenced by different cultural communities negotiate shared
meanings in interaction. If we talk about culture then it is means that
“knowledge” about great works of literature, politics, social, industrial,
historical, science and acquired though the translation of texts. It undertakes
some sorts of human ethic, occupations, class etc. moreover, we can explain
that in Indian culture, when Marathi people simply usually used to speak in Marathi but in other side, Guajarati speak Guajarati language and we see that both are
different culture, and their language tone, minds, culture, rules, traditions
are different them.

In this point same
like their living style also different to other, and if there are queries or
mistakes in explanation and correctness is required. We can see that in
interactions are important and language are own individuality and how people
their interaction of culture and them proper communications are succeed. Whenever so many research works Claire Kramsch
and Cambridge University there is mentioned point that in US it has
traditionally been related to behavioral
sciences, psychology, politics and also in business turning in training. And
we see that Europe it is mostly associated with anthropology and language
science or linguistics. As my point that culture are different and languages
are different, as it is that background of their interaction and individualism
are different communication and intercultural communications and language are
different direction.

- Intercultural communication in language
If we talk about that “culture” then it is means to
knowledge about great works of literature, social, political institutes and
historical events and acquired though the translation at written text. We
studies about language and how culture is important and as it is example of “Bhagwadgeeta”
as holy book and Indian people has to believe them. It is translated to so
many languages and how their own culture and religious has connected to Bhagwadgeeta
and Hindu religious which was translated by them. We see that Roman and
Greet mythology and language has ancient one and it is many reader, writer,
author are translated and historical part it is.

So it is intercultural
communication has my point of views and how culture and religious and also
language have made interactions and it may be that the “intercultural
communication” become prominent in TESOL only in the 1980s was firstly developed
in Europe. Edward hall say that “culture is communication and communication is culture”.(Carter & Nunan, 2001) And we see that no culture it means that no
any communication at all.

As it is
without making communication we not think that culture may alive and obviously
may be that never changes generation after generation. We know that
intercultural communication means cross culture. International communication
has different cultural context and many people are accepted them. we know that
translated culture as frame in his mind and which has know about other culture
has not agree and our mind has not excepted to their culture and different religious, rules, clothes, foods, economics,
rituals. Intercultural communication has refers to social sciences,
business, linguistic, psychology, politics, cultural studied base them. It is
in so many thinks and part in intercultural communication.
- Cross cultural business communication
We know that culture is part of communication and
one side of coin and also in business, economical settled at that time cross
culture communication are helpful and building cultural intelligence though
coaching and training them. As present time globalization came in cross culture
and customer dealing, service, sake of expert capitals and trade of many ways
them, but here only cross cultural communication is important. How to develop
ideology of fairly interaction of other culture and neglected to other culture,
their business as it is. If this was
happening that there will be not failure but how the cross communication has to
attempt their ideas are accepted and moving way in culture. If it is happening
then there will not to be failure attempt in the field of marketing, business,
and deal to company. If we say that plus point and help our culture and benefit
of developing these ideas and gives interaction of other culture as cross
culture business.

- Management of intercultural communication
If we learn language and also cultural communication
are important that and how talk about in big business, company deals, politics,
social relation as it is language. How to management our communication at
social level, business has in communication are first. As it read many part in
how to management communication like that: develop cultural sensibility and
learn some other culture, face to face communication, careful to encoding
and decoding, use words, pictures and gestures, avoid slang, idioms,
regional saying.(Wikipedia) We know that you can
communicated other party or something one so first is observation, how he say
that and multiple learning and gives feedback them.
- Problems in intercultural communication
As it is we know that intercultural communication in
culture is first and learn that to other culture and also many a time problems
between miscommunication and language, culture are different there and problems
create them. If miscommunication occur when their culture other culture.
Example like that Panjabi and Guajarati. More that Punjabi man language,
culture, cloths, food, speech, tones and how to talk that are different and
there are different mindsets. As it is Guajarati man very calm, different
cloths, food, cultures, festivals, rules and business mindset. Because that
their language and cultural background are differs. We see that in European and
Japanese language and culture are differs and their business, education, inter
communication, trade, food, cloths, religious are differs and also here
miscommunication are came and context of mind is different. If majority of
human interactions are important for communication, and there may happen mismatch, despair, similarity, cultural
outcomes, religious, behavioral patterns are different. In here discourse,
culture and language plays vital role,
and culture and discourse we can say that estimate attitude, values, rules,
tones, rate of speech, beliefs and our thoughts. Thus that it is base of
communication skills, that how to accept another culture in its way and how interaction
of other cultural values and how do their communicated them. Many a time this
world war and fight of other country is only miscommunication and problems of
other cultural ideas and communication organized them.

- Intercultural communications important and meaningful
If we studies about intercultural communication in
language and culture are first, and how their talk that to other cultural
interaction and interlunations of community of which culture as part in
communications. So as my observation and point that is meaningful and thought
that in cultural values. I should be talking that intercultural communications
which is like that:
- Attribution: other as a stupid, deceit or crazy.
- Non verbal communications.
- Their tones, rate of speech, eye contact, gesture, language is different.
- Informal understanding.
- Formal behavior.
- Official and formal communications.
- Conclusion
So we can conclude that present time in language and
communications are important and how to talk, learn and accept other culture. If
it is today globalization, liberations, civilizations, industrialization and
modernizations have think first and how time was goes them and communications
are important today. And we know that English is global language and
communications skills and how to talk them are important. If time pass way communication
skills with help of the learn technology which can only access the language,
communication and cultural context know that, and communication is global term
and no communications, no development at all.
